my first love jesus christ

Revelation 2: 4: But I have against you, that you have left your FIRST LOVE.

But when did we fall in love the first time?

When we receive Christ as our personal Lord and Savior, (when we are born again) a miracle happens that I cannot explain. When I received Christ as my personal Savior the day after I made peace with my dad. My life gave a radical change. Suddenly I wanted to start reading the Bible again. And unlike the first time, I did understand it, and I found it to be the clearest book in the world for me.

I fell in love with God so much that I spent reading the Bible up to seven hours a day, and meeting every day in church. This is what we call our first love, when our hearts no longer feel good if we are not in the presence of God.

Romans 5: 5: “and hope does not shame; because the LOVE of God has been poured into our hearts by the Holy Spirit that was given to us. "

IF THE LOVE OF GOD HAS BEEN SPILLED IN OUR HEARTS. THIS IS THE FIRST LOVE. We begin to live a different life, we begin to like the things of God. We are born with the desire to know more about Him, we begin to gather and our faith begins to grow. But most importantly, when we are born again, we are sanctified (set apart for God) and sealed by the Holy Spirit.

Our faith begins to grow. But it is worth saying that the moment we receive Christ Jesus as our personal Savior, it is not on our merits. It is for his mercy, for his pure grace. It is because He had already chosen us since before the foundation of the world.

Point 2. We are saved by grace.
Ephesians 2: 8-9 “For by grace are you saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God; not by works, so that no one can boast ”

The faith that we have when we receive Jesus is not ours, but as Ephesians 2: 8 says it is a Gift from God. And it also says that it is not by works so that no one can boast. So friends and brothers, the merit is all from God.

Then comes the other part, when we already begin to walk in the things of God. We move on to the next stage, which is progressive sanctification. And for this it is necessary that we convert, that we read the Bible and that we pray. As Paul says in the letter the Romans: So FAITH is BY HEARING, AND HEARING IS BY THE Word OF GOD).

Undeserved love
As we see, we have done nothing to receive this immense gift of salvation, because everything is the work of God. The only thing that we put at the time of our salvation are our sins, God has taken care of everything. He chose us from before the foundation of the world.

Romans 8: 29-30 “For he predestined those whom he knew before, that they might be made according to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren. And whom he predestined, he also called; and whom he called, he also justified; and whom he justified, these he also glorified. "

This is called Ordo Salutis, that is, the order of salvation, all this was done by God by the only affection of his grace as we saw in Ephesians 2: 8-9.

Thank you means: receiving something undeserved. Because just as we were dead in our crimes and sins, the only thing that corresponded to us was eternal damnation.

Romans 5: 8: "But God shows his LOVE for us, that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us."

Point 3. But Christ calls us to live in love with Him all the time.
John 15: 9-12: “As the Father has loved me, so I also have loved you; remain in my LOVE. If you keep my commandments, you will remain in my LOVE; just as I have kept my Father's commandments, and remain in his LOVE. These things I have spoken to you, so that my joy may be in you, and your joy may be fulfilled. This is my commandment: Love one another, as I have loved you. ”

Jesus wants us to be happy, to be joyful all the time. Not only that we live the first love. He wants us to remain united to the cross of Christ, knowing that only in Him will we find joy and peace for our souls. This means, for our joy to be fulfilled, there is only one way to live and this is: ALWAYS HAVE CHRIST IN OUR HEARTS.

John 17:26: "And I have made your name known to them, and I will still make it known, so that the LOVE with which you have loved me may be in them, and I in them."

Christ is hanging on us all the time
He says he will make God known to us so that we may live in his love. And not only that, but he also asks the Father for those who will believe in Him as their Lord.

This is one of the most sublime parts of Scripture, when Jesus intercedes for us before the father even for those who have not yet received him:

John 17: 20-25 “But I do not pray only for these, but also for those who will believe in me for

LIVE TO BLESS YOUR BROTHER

ROMANS 15 - LIVE TO BLESS YOUR BROTHER A. Being full in the Christian life 1. (Romans 15: 1-2) Full of affection and concern for others. So we who are strong must bear the weaknesses of the weak, and not please ourselves. Each one of us pleases his neighbor in what is good, for edification. to. So we who are strong must bear the weaknesses of the weak, and not please ourselves: If you consider yourself strong compared to your brother, use your strength to serve your brother in Christ - instead of using your "strength" only to please yourself. i. Bear: The idea is not really to bear with but to bear the weak brother - to bear him with your superior strength. ii. It runs counter to the general meaning of our times, which advises people to "look for number 1" and to belittle those who live the life of real sacrifice for the good of others. But, without denying it, Paul points the way to true happiness and fulfillment in life - take your eyes off yourself, sta...

the holy spirit changes the heart

Jesus used a very well-known word at this time, for those who do not want to let the Holy Spirit change their hearts, and it was this: "Generation of Vipers! How can you speak what is good while being evil? Because of the abundance of the Heart the mouth "Matthew 12:34.         The Holy Spirit knows the heart of every human regardless of their color, their race, their financial status, if they are rich or poor, professional or worker, if they are a housewife or a distinguished public official, if they are corrupt or drug trafficker, if they are a soldier or a guerrilla, whether he is adult or young, whether he is a child or an old man, he knows the most intimate of our weaknesses and even scrutinizes our thoughts first of all. Not accepting the Holy Spirit as God does not please God the Father, does not please Jesus the Son and that will always bring terrible consequences and results to those who reject the Holy Spirit as God. No one gets...

following the teacher Jesus Christ

All Latter-day Saints have the responsibility to learn and teach the gospel (see Teaching, No Greater Call, lesson 1). To effectively do so, members must know the Savior through His teachings and example (see 3 Nephi 18:24). “You and I have to fix our gaze on the Savior,” says Elder David A. Bednar of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles. “We have the obligation to study, treasure up, [and] ponder,” he says, “so that in the very moment we can be given that which is needful or, in the very moment, connections will be created in what we have treasured up and studied and pondered that we have never noticed before.” Elder  Bednar made the comments during a Seminaries and Institutes of Religion Satellite Broadcast on August 2, 2011. He Set the Pattern Prophets and apostles frequently testify of the power that comes from following the example of Jesus Christ. “We quickly and rightfully think of Christ as a teacher—the greatest teacher who ever lived or ever will live,” says Elder Jeff...
