THE KINGDOM OF GOD TODAY

ARE YOU LIVING THE KINGDOM OF GOD?

El reino de los cielos está dentro de ustedes | Mahá Chohán ...

... The Kingdom of God is among you ..., Luke 17:21, Jesus answered. If we believe and understand that the Kingdom of God is among us, the Church throughout the world, why do Christians in general find it difficult to live the Kingdom of God right now on earth, while we patiently await the coming of Jesus Christ and the establishment of the Kingdom of God at a universal level, when all the kingdoms are delivered to Him? What prevents us from living a life as the Son of God would live it in our circumstances? The answer that we will develop is the one that Jesus gave to Nicodemus: ... He who is not born again cannot see the kingdom of God ... John 3: 3. This response applied to a Christian who sees that he does not finish growing or serving God and neighbor as he wishes, does not imply that he has not been born again, but that he has not implemented in his daily life the Spiritual Disciplines that Jesus Christ has taught us .

One of these days, when I was in my time of solitude with the Lord, at the end I listened to a song of praise from the brother in faith and messianic musician Paul Wilbur, who in his album "Jerusalem Arise" -Rise up Jerusalem-, composed a song which intertwines with another: "For Your Name is Holy / Let the Weight of Your Glory Fall", -Well, Your Name is Holy / Let the Weight of Your Glory Fall- in which the praise focuses on the title message, on that glory that comes from the Throne of Glory when we enter the Holy of Holies, the Father's heart through the Blood of Christ to adore only Him. That experience is now, but it will be in eternity. The Kingdom of God covers eternity, that is why we can already enjoy it now too, despite an opposite society.

The Kingdom of God will not stop growing, and the Church has more and more believers throughout the world. The Bible tells us that God is working: ... My Father until now works, and I work ... John 5:17, and this is what the Son of God says. The Holy Spirit is also working, proof of this is that the Church continues to live and grow, and each of us can see in his life that he always takes care of us. It is our responsibility to work for the Kingdom each of the days in which we live, as we carry our cross, and share the Yoke of Jesus Christ. For this, our hearts must speak the Word of God, which emanates from our mouths, as sources of living water, for the love of our neighbor, for the glory of God. This is our job, to bear fruit from lips that confess His Name, Hebrews 13:15, and of mutual help let us not forget. To help us we have the Spiritual Disciplines, which athlete, which soldier, here of Christ.

In the past Biblical study on the Fire of Heaven and the Spiritual Disciplines, we discussed the result of applying to our Christian life a series of basic disciplines for proper growth, as mature Christians. It is precisely the result of having implemented the practice of these spiritual disciplines, the ones that make us live the Kingdom of God in this life, even if we are in a world contrary to and enemy of Christ, until His coming. These disciplines emanate from the grace of God that gave us faith, to which if we add the anointed counsel of Peter by the Spirit to add to that faith, Virtue, we can be that kingdom of holy priests that God has created for His glory by the work of His Son Jesus Christ out of love for us.

This study deals with the Kingdom of God as a way of life. To read another study dedicated to the Kingdom of God and its characteristics and its coming see First Seek the Kingdom of God. The Kingdom of God is the objective of the Gospel, and that Kingdom is the one that we must live together with God every day as the Kingdom of the Church, and not stop sharing the easy yoke of Jesus for the concerns of this world. The Bible reminds us in Matthew 6:33: ... But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.

I believe that the following list of selected and commented Biblical Texts are the best expression of how to imitate Jesus to live the Kingdom of God now, until the coming of Jesus Christ on the last day, before eternity, to which we have access to His side by faith in the Son of God, in the resurrection to live forever in the Paradise of God.

LIVE TO BLESS YOUR BROTHER

ROMANS 15 - LIVE TO BLESS YOUR BROTHER A. Being full in the Christian life 1. (Romans 15: 1-2) Full of affection and concern for others. So we who are strong must bear the weaknesses of the weak, and not please ourselves. Each one of us pleases his neighbor in what is good, for edification. to. So we who are strong must bear the weaknesses of the weak, and not please ourselves: If you consider yourself strong compared to your brother, use your strength to serve your brother in Christ - instead of using your "strength" only to please yourself. i. Bear: The idea is not really to bear with but to bear the weak brother - to bear him with your superior strength. ii. It runs counter to the general meaning of our times, which advises people to "look for number 1" and to belittle those who live the life of real sacrifice for the good of others. But, without denying it, Paul points the way to true happiness and fulfillment in life - take your eyes off yourself, sta...

the holy spirit changes the heart

Jesus used a very well-known word at this time, for those who do not want to let the Holy Spirit change their hearts, and it was this: "Generation of Vipers! How can you speak what is good while being evil? Because of the abundance of the Heart the mouth "Matthew 12:34.         The Holy Spirit knows the heart of every human regardless of their color, their race, their financial status, if they are rich or poor, professional or worker, if they are a housewife or a distinguished public official, if they are corrupt or drug trafficker, if they are a soldier or a guerrilla, whether he is adult or young, whether he is a child or an old man, he knows the most intimate of our weaknesses and even scrutinizes our thoughts first of all. Not accepting the Holy Spirit as God does not please God the Father, does not please Jesus the Son and that will always bring terrible consequences and results to those who reject the Holy Spirit as God. No one gets...

following the teacher Jesus Christ

All Latter-day Saints have the responsibility to learn and teach the gospel (see Teaching, No Greater Call, lesson 1). To effectively do so, members must know the Savior through His teachings and example (see 3 Nephi 18:24). “You and I have to fix our gaze on the Savior,” says Elder David A. Bednar of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles. “We have the obligation to study, treasure up, [and] ponder,” he says, “so that in the very moment we can be given that which is needful or, in the very moment, connections will be created in what we have treasured up and studied and pondered that we have never noticed before.” Elder  Bednar made the comments during a Seminaries and Institutes of Religion Satellite Broadcast on August 2, 2011. He Set the Pattern Prophets and apostles frequently testify of the power that comes from following the example of Jesus Christ. “We quickly and rightfully think of Christ as a teacher—the greatest teacher who ever lived or ever will live,” says Elder Jeff...
